Introducing the first in our exciting new series of Tooler Talks! Starting at 7pm, with the aim of catching the last of the evening sun, we invite you to join us for a glass of chilled Rose in the gardens, as we listen and learn all about the amazing world of bees.
Steve Purkis ‘Steve-the-Bee’, as he is fondly known at Toolerstone, is brimming over with knowledge about these amazing creatures. He heads up the Mid Cheshire Bee Keeper’s Association and has two of his own hives situated in our gardens.
Steve will talk about the fascinating world of bees, from how a Queen Bee is selected and what happens during her life-time, to the amazing community and work structures within a hive, as well as bee keeping and the magical properties of the honey they produce.
