Everything is coming up roses! To make the most of our gorgeous garden setting, we invite you to join us for one of our Spring/Summer floristry workshops. Not only will you learn about floristry and styling, and even the art of calligraphy, but also you will be able to enjoy time in the gardens here while our awesome little team serves you with delightful home-made afternoon tea!
What’s not to love?
Late Spring Table Design Workshops
On 12th and 26th May we are offering a ‘late spring table design’ workshop.
Anna Flora will be guiding you as you work with gorgeous spring blooms to create a stunning centre piece, which you will take home to dress your own table. After your workshop you will be invited to sit outside on our beautiful terrace, or in our light and airy glass refectory, where we will serve you a three tiered afternoon tea, created by our kitchen fairy “Barbara Darling’.
More floristry workshops in Spring and Summer, with afternoon tea:
EASTER NEST – 28th April
SCENTED SUMMER FLOWERS – 9th and 23rd June.
Summer Table Styling with Calligraphy – (date in June to be confirmed)
This workshop is a delight for anyone wanting to create a magical setting for a summer celebration. Whether it is an intimate wedding, a family celebration or maybe a garden party, you will learn the art of styling to create breath-taking settings for your guests.
A glass of fizz and dainty savoury bites are served as you enjoy a demonstration by the Little Potting Shed, featuring summer floral designs, candles and place settings. Watch as the table is transformed into a summertime set worthy of appearing in your favourite magazine!
You will then enjoy getting hands on with pen and inks as you learn ‘The Art of Modern Calligraphy’ with Sarah Bloor and produce your own handwritten place settings and learn how to write menu cards, invitations and seating plans. A skill that lasts a life time and has so many uses!
A summer themed pic-nic will be served to you around our beautifully styled table to complete this blissful day. Gary, our estate manager, will be on hand to take pictures for you, so feel free to dress up and don a summer hat!
